Summertime, algum frio, vento em assobio e intertextualidade

Summertime is an aria composed by George Gershwin for the 1935 opera Porgy and Bess.
The lyrics are by DuBose Heyward, the author of the novel Porgy on which the opera was based
Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong sing Summertime

And the livin' is easy
Fish are jumpin'
And the cotton is high
Oh your daddy's rich
And your ma's good lookin'
So hush little baby
Don't you cry

One of these mornings
You're gonna rise up singing
Yes you'll spread your wings
And you'll take to the sky
But till that morning
There is nothing to harm you
With dad and ma standing by

and it's summertime
tempo de verão
roupas leves
leves brisas
ou ventania tresloucada
na primavera inacabada...

tempo de verão
chuvarada trouxe frio
vento em assobio
como em outra estação...

tempo de verão
ontem ensolarado
hoje enuviado
como em outra estação...

but it's summertime
the living is easy
and certainly
our wings
are gonna fly
so hush little baby
don't you cry...
